Problem with PiP on video streaming services

While for (commercial) YouTube Picture-in-Picture PiP works fine when gesturing back to home, it fails for video services like Netflix, Prime and Disney+.

What is interesting is that if I instantiate an app via the notification drawer, the video services are correctly switch to PiP mode. It fails only when gesturing back to home.

    Thanks, that is a precise report. We are tracking this one here: Picture-in-Picture fails when returning to home screen (In Review). The pattern there matches yours: the app closes instead of entering PiP when you go home from Niagara, while it switches to PiP fine when you leave the app some other way.

    Upvoting that post gets you notified when its status changes, and one thread with all the reports helps us more than several. Your detail that YouTube behaves while Netflix, Prime and Disney+ do not is worth adding over there, since that narrows down which apps are affected.
