Two column widget in foldable devices

Hello. It would be nice to have a two column widget on any screen. This makes sense now with foldable phones, especially with the wide model (Samsung and Apple). As it currently is, you get two columns for the widgets only if you use the phone in landscape. I have been using foldable phones (Samsung) for several years now and it feels like a waste of space in the inside screen when you unfold the device and use it in portrait mode (I have the new fold 8 wide). Thanks.

Thanks, and your follow-up sharpens it nicely: two columns everywhere except the folded outer screen in portrait. Closely related: two columns depending of aspect ratio asks for the column count to follow the screen's aspect ratio instead of the orientation, which is exactly the mechanism your request needs, so that one is worth a vote as well.

They collect votes here first, and we work through them roughly by upvotes, so every vote on this post moves it up the list. You'll be notified when its status changes. Hi. Regarding my suggestion/request. This will help in every screen and orientation EXCEPT in the outer screen (folded) in portrait mode, when the space is too narrow to be useful. Every other one (outer screen in landscape, inner screen either portrait or landscape) it would be a nice addition.
