Show notification dot on alphabet

I’d like a way to quickly see if any apps have a notification from the home screen. I don’t use a lock screen and i’ve hidden the status bar, so there’s no way to see if i have notifications at a glance without touching the screen.

A small dot on top of the relevant alphabet letter can quickly show you if and where there is a new notification while not being too intrusive.

I’ve made a mock of what it could look like. The dot is using the theme colour.
