Problem with PiP mode

Hi Niagara Launcher support team,

I am having an issue with picture-in-picture (PiP) mode when using Niagara Launcher.

When I watch a video on YouTube and go back to the home screen, the video continues playing in a small floating window (PiP mode) on top of other apps as expected. However, when I use Pluto TV, going to the home screen completely closes the app instead of entering PiP mode.

Pluto TV has the necessary PiP permissions enabled, and this issue seems to happen specifically when using Niagara Launcher. Could you please look into this bug or let me know how to resolve it?

Thank you!

Thanks for the clear description! Several people have reported the same pattern with other apps, always the same shape: YouTube goes into PiP as expected, while another app closes instead. The longest-running thread is Video call picture in picture not working, so upvoting it and mentioning Pluto TV there keeps the reports in one place, which helps us more than several separate threads.

The person who opened that post describes a workaround that may also work for Pluto TV: instead of going straight to the home screen, open another app first (through a notification or your settings), which puts the video into PiP, and then switch to the Niagara home screen.

One thing that would help us: which Android version does your Galaxy A57 run? The form says "Don't know", and you can look it up under Android settings > About phone.
