Pop up does not work for app in inside a folder

I created a folder and added several apps to it. When I open the folder and swipe right to an app, like Gmail, it does not open the pop up choices.

However, I get the pop up when Gmail is NOT inside the folder.

Is this a bug or there is a work around because I group a bunch of apps inside several folders and I want to be able to see the pop up

    Thanks for the clear report! This looks like expected behavior rather than a bug. Opening Gmail's pop-up from inside a pop-up folder would mean a pop-up within a pop-up, and nested pop-ups aren't supported. The FAQ at the end of Pop-ups explains why.

    Two ways to keep the pop-up for an app like Gmail: keep it outside the folder, in your favorites, where the swipe works as you noticed. Or, with Niagara Pro, use Gmail's own pop-up as the folder, since customizable app pop-ups can hold other apps just like a folder (same article).
