Open a preferred weather app from the weather widget
Could we have an option to open an installed weather app by tapping the hourly forecast under “Your agenda”, ideally with a setting to choose which app opens? I’d like to keep my home screen clean without adding a separate weather app shortcut. The built-in weather widget is handy for a quick glance, but the information is quite limited. When I need more detail, tapping the forecast feels like the most natural way to get to a full weather app.

Thanks for the suggestion! One thing that already works today, though without a free choice of app: long-pressing the hourly forecast in the agenda opens the official OpenWeather app when you have it installed. It pulls from the same source as Niagara's own forecast, so the numbers match what you just looked at. It is written up in Minimal Weather Widget.
On picking your own weather app there is a stated position: different providers forecast differently, so tapping through into an app showing other numbers would be a confusing jump. That is the current stance rather than a verdict on your post, the team decides here.

Upvoting there is the best way to push it, since we work through requests roughly by upvotes, and your point about not wanting a separate weather shortcut on the home screen would fit well in that thread.
