Thanks for reporting, and your form answer helps here: you said the problem also happens with other launchers while the stock one is fine. That pattern matches a known Android-side issue rather than something specific to Niagara. On Android 14 the launcher's interface can stop updating while the launcher itself keeps running, so the phone feels slow and unresponsive. It is collected here: Niagara becomes unresponsive intermittently / Wrong app opens (Operating System Bug).
Two things that help right now: grant Niagara accessibility access in your system settings (Accessibility > Niagara Launcher > toggle it on), or force-stop Niagara, which clears it for a while. Both are described in Commonly reported bugs, and upvoting the entry on Android's issue tracker pushes Google toward fixing the root cause.
Two things that would help us, right here in the thread: your form says "Latest" for the version, so could you post the exact number from Niagara settings? And does the screen freeze while your taps still open apps, or is everything genuinely slow? Those are two different problems, and your answer tells us which one you are hitting.

Version 1.16.31.
When I go to home screen sometime it only shows the wallpaper…
Also Yes everything thing is slow sometimes
Linked to am using Honor Magic V2. after a few days with the Niagara launcher it starts lagging and becomes unusable. even a restart will not fix the problem. i switch back to the native Honor launcher and everything works fine. Have tried in intervals of a month or two. same result.
