Multiple Profiles

Feature Request

When you change profiles the theme and favorite apps change. This could help with work/life separation.

Implementation ideas:

  • Add profiles to the end of the alphabet in the “Niagara Launcher” section.

  • Automatic profile change ideas: Timer, location, wifi, etc.

  • Profile settings could have favorites and theme selectors.

    Yeah, I would find this really helpful. There are probably 12-14 apps I use really regularly. I have 10 in my favorites list, and a couple others I access through widgets, not because I love the widgets, but because it’s a way to get a couple more compactly on my home screen without my favorites getting annoyingly pushed off the bottom all the time.

    But there are some apps (Reddit, Discord) I really don’t need (and don’t want available!) during the work day, and some work communication apps I don’t need immediately at my fingertips in the evening time. I would LOVE to be able to associate a favorites list with work and one with home, and keep my favorites list short all the time with this context switching.

    Thanks for the detailed suggestion! The favorites side of this is tracked here: Multiple favorite lists for different purposes - upvoting there is the best way to push it, since we go through requests roughly by upvotes. For the theme side there's Multiple Saved Theme Presets.

    Today you can already save your setups as themes and switch between them manually.
