​Gesture navigation home screen redraw delay (~1 sec lag returning to home)

When using full-screen gesture navigation (swiping up from the bottom of the screen to return home), there is a ~1-second delay before Niagara's app list, favorites, and shortcuts appear on the screen.

I am aware this issue commonly affects third-party launchers due to Android's gesture navigation implementation, but wanted to submit a report in case there are device-specific tweaks or recommendations for my setup.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Enable gesture navigation in Android System Settings.

  2. Set Niagara Launcher as the default home app.

  3. Open any application.

  4. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.

  5. Observe the ~1-second delay/blank screen before Niagara's interface fully loads.

Problem occurs with other Launchers: Yes (present in other 3rd-party launchers, but does NOT occur on the default stock launcher).

    Same on OnePlus Nord 5 with Oxygen OS 16 CPH2709_16.0.5.1201 (EX01)

    Thanks for the careful report, and for testing the other launchers. That test already answers it: navigation gestures, their animations, and the recents screen are provided by the device rather than by the launcher, so the delay sits in Android's gesture navigation and shows up in every third-party launcher, while the preinstalled one is exempt.     I face a different issue in my Samsung M32. When I use the gesture to launch the recent apps by sliding bottom to top at the navigation area, there is generally a small delay. It doesn’t occur in my another phone Samsung M34.
