Description:

The GCash app displays a "Security Notice" and denies access when Niagara Launcher's accessibility service (used for double-tap to sleep) is enabled.

​Steps to reproduce:

  1. ​Enable Niagara Launcher's accessibility service.

  2. ​Open the GCash app.

  3. ​See the "Security Notice" error preventing access.

    Thanks for the clear steps. That block comes from GCash's side: the app checks whether a third-party accessibility service is active and refuses to run when it finds one, and a launcher cannot opt out of that check.

    One detail from earlier reports of this, because it saves you some searching: switching double tap to sleep off in Niagara's settings does not help, since the accessibility permission itself stays granted. What works is revoking the permission under Android's settings > Accessibility > Niagara Launcher.

    On your version that costs you little. The service powers double tap to sleep (Double Tap to Sleep) and used to be the workaround for an Android freezing bug, which Niagara handles in the app itself since 1.16.22. We are not aware of a way to keep both the gesture and GCash working.
