Drupe contact shortcut cannot be added to Niagara home screen

Description: Drupe contact shortcuts reach Niagara, but the shortcut creation fails at the final step and the shortcut is not added to the home screen. The same shortcut can be created successfully with Microsoft Launcher. The issue persists after restarting the device.

  • Steps to reproduce:

    1. Set Niagara Launcher as the default launcher.

    2. Open Drupe.

    3. Try to create/add a contact shortcut to the home screen.

    4. Complete the shortcut creation process.

    5. At the final step, Niagara fails to create the shortcut and an error message is shown.

    Thanks for the thorough report, and for confirming it works in Microsoft Launcher. Another user hit the same failure with a different app and got a shortcut creation timeout: Can't make an shortcut on home screen. Two apps failing at the same final step is a useful pattern, so upvoting keeps the reports together.

    If Drupe shows an error text of its own at that final step, the exact wording would help us place where it breaks.
