Background goes black when swiping up to homepage

Issue happens inconsistently but when you swipe up to go home my background will just be black for a second and then my regular set wallper will return. Pixel 9 pro ok Android 17

    Thanks for reporting! A short black frame when swiping up to home looks like the known flickering issue in Android's gesture navigation, which affects third-party launchers because the home screen does not redraw cleanly on the way back.

    The workaround that helps is restarting the phone, or force-stopping the preinstalled launcher (restarting Niagara itself does not help): Screen Flicker on Returning Home.

    You are also on 1.16.18. Version 1.16.22 added a workaround for a related freezing bug, so updating is worth doing either way.
