Alphabet Navigation

Feature Request

Please add an option to completely disable the Alphabet/Wave navigation. Even when it is hidden, accidentally touching the edge can still trigger it, especially when using the back gesture to return to the home screen.

A simple “Disable Alphabet Navigation” option would make the launcher more comfortable and user-friendly.

Thanks for the suggestion! This one is already being tracked here: Option to disable alphabet (9 upvotes, In Review). It asks for exactly what you describe, a real off switch rather than only hiding the alphabet.

The accidental triggering at the screen edge has its own post as well: Alphabet Slider on edge of screen (11 upvotes, In Review). Upvoting those two is the fastest way to push the idea, since we work through requests roughly by upvotes, and you'll be notified when their status changes.

One practical note: this post went up three times within half a minute. Nothing to fix on your side, just put your votes on the two posts above rather than on the copies.
